Life Prep Christian Academy White Paper on Educational Choice

“I didn’t think I could homeschool my kids. LPCA made it possible”

Consider hybrid home education instead of traditional homeschooling. Center your student's education in the home and utilize the variety of resources available with LPCA to make your experience successful and enjoyable.

Today, parents have several educational options to consider for their students:

Public Education Enrollment:

This option includes enrolling your student in a local public school, a charter school, or potentially a public school outside your immediate school district. It's important to note that your tax dollars fund public education, which makes it a government-designed and government-funded choice.

Non-Public or Private School Enrollment:

Non-public or private schools in the state offer a wide range of educational opportunities. These institutions can be Christian-based, Catholic-based, secular, or privately sponsored. Recent educational choice legislation may make some of your tax dollars available to help cover the costs associated with non-public or private schools. Generally, enrolling your student in a non-public or private school tends to be the most costly of the enrollment options.

Home Education Enrollment:

Home education encompasses various options, with the most commonly known being traditional homeschooling. Homeschooling provides flexibility and freedom but requires parents to take on various responsibilities including making curriculum decisions, seeking outside support and co-op opportunities, developing and implementing lesson plans, planning and coordinating outside activities and field trips, maintaining necessary records, and arranging for your student to undergo either testing or have their work reviewed annually by a state-licensed educator. This is the most “parent involved” option. It's worth noting that there are scholarships available to home educators to help offset some of the associated costs.

In summary, parents have the important responsibility of choosing the best educational path for their student(s), and these three primary options offer various benefits and considerations. Each choice comes with its unique advantages and challenges.
What if there was a way to combine the best aspects of all three enrollment options to educate your student? We believe there is, Hybrid Home Education
