What is my responsibility as a parent?

LPCA is a parent partnership. On Thursday and Friday each week, we ask for at least one parent or guardian to commit to being present to homeschool their student(s). Teachers provide assignments to complete at home while giving the parents freedom and flexibility in completing the assigned work. Families are able to choose the workload that works for their lifestyle while ensuring their child is learning the subject matter.

Does LPCA offer financial assistance or accept State Funding?

LPCA is a private homeschool partnership program offering support for homeschool families, we do participate in the PEP program through the FDE. Parents need to visit their website Personalized Education Program - Step Up For Students. Payment plans and pay-in-full discounts are also available for private pay students. Please contact us for further information.

Can students attend LPCA if they have a learning disability or have received accommodations (i.e. IEP or 504) from another school?

While under certain circumstances, LPCA can be a good fit for students with learning challenges, however, LPCA is not equipped, nor are our teachers and staff specifically trained in this area. In addition, students must be able to conduct themselves in the classroom without being a disruption and must also be able to complete the work outlined in each course description.

Can my student go to LPCA if he has been suspended or expelled from another school or homeschool program?

Students must be in good standing with any previous school or homeschool program in order to be considered for enrollment at LPCA

What if we do not have our children immunized?

Immunization records are not mandatory

Is my enrollment fee refundable if we change our minds before classes begin?

No, the enrollment fee is non-refundable.

Is my child allowed to bring his/her cell phone to school?

We do not allow phones during school hours. If students bring a phone to school, they will be asked to leave it at the front desk with our coordinators until the end of the day. If a student needs to contact a parent/guardian or if a parent needs to contact their child during school hours, they are able to speak with the coordinator on staff to either make a call or relay a message.

Students are NOT required to have a specific device for in class days. Our program is an individualized approach. Computers, laptops, cell phones, etc. can be utilized during home days if the parents choose to allow them to.

Please note: students in grades 6 and above will need a device for math and any required research.
